28th February 2009.

Wow, it's the end of February. The end of my first month in NYJC. 9 Days till I officially turn 17.

I shall do up a wishlist now. Haha. Got that inspiration from DebLock's blog! (Well, there was a particular group of people who asked me to do one up anyway to ease their pain of deciding what to get for me.). Here goes! :D

ONE. MEETUPS/DATES! Yes, BOOK ME! HAHA! (Okay, this sounds really wrong, really!) I should be free after 1.30pm on Monday, March 9th! I really wouldn't mind a surprise visit to my school/house! (Though I'm sure no one will come all the way to NYJC unless you live next door D: ) - Tell me okay! :D Lunch date sounds fun :D
TWO. A pretty, big helium balloon! (Please don't ask me why, I just want it. Haha.)
THREE. Scrapbooks/Photo Collages are totally cool. Really.
FOUR. I want that huge mushroom/octopus stuff toy from Mini Toons. Though I've no idea if they still have them right now... Soft toys/Stuff toys are good too. (The safest presents to ever get for me, seriously. Haha.) :D
FIVE. Cards/Notes/SMSes/FB Msgs/Flowers/Pictures are greatly appreciated. :D
SIX. A pink/purple/blue/black tote/sling bag. :D
SEVEN. I still want an IPOD Nano. Pink please! :)
EIGHT. Clothes! :D Practical presents. :D
NINE. Ace the papers for J1 till promos! Heehee. :D
TEN. Pass G8 Piano. Seriously... :D
ELEVEN. To complete my MRP before the 9th!
TWELVE. Well, can't think of anything else for now... Shall update when I get more inspiration. HAHA.

BUT I guess and am pretty sure this would be the quietest birthday ever. Unless something really happens which I highly doubt it would since I'm so far apart from almost-all-except-a-small-handful of TKGS friends...

Anyway, HAPPY SWEET SIXTEENTH Birthday DEBORAH LOCK! (Lost count of the number of times I said/sms/wrote/typed happy birthday!) HAHA. YOU'RE OFFICIALLY A LAOLAO. JOIN THE LAOLAO Group and be a DENATURED ENZYME LOCK LAOLAO! :D (Yay, I'm being retardedly lame.)

I forgot to mention that class breakfast on monday was fun(even though I had to choing to school after seminary at 6.30am in the morning.) and Xintao treated the whole class to MACS hashbrowns! It was like, when I said, "Nevermind, don't buy." and he stares at my tray(which consists of a hashbrown and a cup of iced Milo) and said "You better be prepared to eat two hashbrowns!". Haha. Thank you CT Rep ~~who attempts to bootlick us~~ no, I'm just kidding! Alvie was quite disgusted about how JY had to blot his hashbrown with tissue and she was awefully glad she finished her share prior to that. I think Ras suggested using Dettol to remove oil from the hashbrown! HAHA. And we had to run after breakfast and I ended up feeling SICK! -.- Bleargh. But it was still fun. HAHA.

Well, it's another friday. I've survived another week of school - the 2nd official week of school, to be exact. I'm beat from choir, but neither do I want to sleep right now(though my eyes are drooping already, seriously...) so I guess I'll blog a little before I enter slumberland.

Biology, Chemistry - I need to read. And read. And read again. AHHH ):
Math - It's quite alright for now, but AP GP's another story...
Econs - :D

And Travis Tan (a.k.a. Weee), urghhhhhhhhh, I'm not IMBA. I'M NOT IMBA.

You make me happy, when skies are grey

TGIF! Seriously!

I've been terribly busy in school - literally tied down with tutorials/lectures and choir and everything-else-that's-happening in school. And I've never reached home before 6pm this week. Bah. I feel sad.

Firstly, my timetable's a bit screwed up. I've got two different sets of even&odd week timetable to follow so I'm still a bit confused now. And I'm still not used to the JC lecture-tutorial style of learning yet. I'm not used to being in a mixed school, yet I can't pretend I'm still in TKGS. I'm not used to wearing my uniform, seeing myself no longer in that green pinafore or skirt and blouse. I'm not used to fridays being dress down days (yea, you could guess I went to school in full U just now.) I'm not used to seeing canteen tables filled with people mugging at 8plus in the morning. I'm not used to going to school at 8.30/8.55am in the morning instead of my typical 7.00-7.15am in the morning. I'm not used to all those in between "free periods". In short, I'm still not used to JC life. I'm still struggling to adapt in a totally different environment. Culture-wise, it isn't that shocking since I came from Kong Hwa, but still...

Most lectures and tutorials classes are pretty alright, with the exceptions of a few that were plain boring (and people started dozing off!)
Bio's rather challenging, so I guess I need to keep reading till I understand...
Chem & Math are okay so far
Econs... I'm a bit tempted to sleep, cos I keep hearing Opportunity Cost, Scarcity, MB, MC (stuff I learnt in Sec 3...)...

And like what Alvie mentioned in the cbox, 0901's totally AWESOME cos we have really friendly and nice friends there. Except that the chinese people tend to speak in chinese instead of english... o.o And I'm the Temporary Econs rep together with Sally... Ah Econs... ):
(BTW, is it some kind of a norm for the population of girls to dominate over the guys in BCME classes?!)

Choir's been totally hectic. Completed learning Showers and in the midst of learning(& teaching - how ironic) the set piece (which is really difficult! especially the first 2 pages!) Sigh... And I'm currently the acting SL (which means I would 99.99999% end up as an SL without election/yada yada) for Altos (since the J2s are having block test) and I HAVEN'T TAUGHT FOR MORE THAN HALF A YEAR SO IT'S REALLY REALLY NERVEWRECKING!! Save me, someone! Okay, maybe I just wanted to try out for other positions instead of staying as an SL, but seems like I don't have a chance now. ): ):

On the whole, I'm still very happy in NYJC. (Though struggling to keep afloat)Really.

Anyway, the world's becoming smaller. Li Hsing just informed me that she, Leslie and Han are in the same MEP class in ACJC. And how CCDY and TCY are in the same school. And loads of other facts I've found out which I'm really too lazy to write it out right now... Heehee.

Ayyy, very exhausted from choir practice (which ended past 8pm...) so I want my beauty sleep. Now. Haha. More tutorials/assignments/projects to be completed tomorrow.
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

It's gonna a be a night to last forever

Hey!
I'm back to blogging, after 6days of MIA-ing here! Oops, sorry! Heehee :)

Anyway, the first 4days of the week on my calendar's filled with Orientation! The theme for this year's Madagascar - We like to MOVE IT! Awesome theme right? Haha :D And my group's GLORIA 1(Class 0901 - Verity's laughing about how I got into the class 01)! *Go Gloria!* Okay, I'm being lame already. Let's continue... Hmm, on the 1st day, we had cheer training(a.k.a tribal time), o-games(I can only remember this Ja-ka-pon[I don't know how to spell but the pronounciation is somewhat like this] where you play scissors paper stone and whack the person with a "hammer" if you win!) game in school followed by mass dance (Which is awesome okayy, apart from the fact that this C.H. guy who kept blocking my view, which was super annoying-.-).
Day 2 was a trip to Sentosa for more bonding games and it was F.U.N(but tiring too)! Haha. I know my voice was becoming hoarse after day 2... Heehee. On day 3, we had more tribal time, completing the 31st SC mass dance and the NY traditional dance, followed by telematches. It's like the battle of the teams! My OG had to play the chair passing game, but we got 2nd! So it's good too! Add to house points :D Oh we also learnt the HOT&COLD dance, and Eugene(one of my OGL) kept shaking his leg and butt!) but it was really really fun! The last day was the longest, and the best too, actually :D We kick started the day by having the tribal time followed by the final mass dance practice(where I more or less got the steps yo!) :D Had lunch with OG before proceeding to play wet games(and I got wet even before the game started thanks to Azyan *Aha! See now I really remember your name*! Haha!) Well, we didn't get to play the most fun wet game due to time constrain... ): but it's alright... Went to the toilets to wash up(We had to wait SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO LONG -.-) before meeting at the grandstand to chat with OG + dinner + retarded camwhoring(until by batt died D:) + Alvie videoing my OG doing the HOT&COLD dance. Haha! Went up to the hall after that for the cheering competition(ROAR!) followed by the dance competition to crown the Tarzan and Jane of the night! And GLORIA WON THE CHEERING COMPETITION + the TARZAN, thus our whole group won the HOUSE COMPETITION with a 6 digit figure! Hahaha :D From 3rd on the 3rd day to 1st on the last day! :D Disco night after the prize presentation ceremony and it was AWESOME! My OG friends were happily making trains and circles! And people crashing into our circle! I mean, it was just great that everyone were enjoying themselves! Haha. danced NY Trad dance and 31st SC dance to end off the night, which was probably past 9.30pm(which was supposed to be our dismissal time). Headed towards the canteen to get a drink(well everyone did that) but to our dismay, all the vending machines either stopped working or the drinks were OOS, so we had to wait and be contented with plain water/ go out to 7/11 to get a drink. Got a ride from Gloria's mum home. Thank you :)

Friday was boringggg ): Firstly, I didn't have enough sleep from thurs night/fri morning and I nearly fell asleep during all the talks. Secondly, school had to start at 7.30am instead of the usua 8.30am in the morning, so I had to chiong to the bus stop for bus. BAH. So even though the Get Ed! talks were interesting, I was just half-sleeping half-listening... Choir in the evening before chionging to church for YW activity(When I managed to find them at the 3rd floor, they just ended, but I was ~~tortured~~treated to a 5 mins massage in my uni) and I saw Ying'er in her RJ uni!! :D Haha. :D Okay, that's so random...

Yesterday was so HAHA. Valentine's Day and I was asked out on a date 4 times. HAHAHA. They should know who :P Anyway, EC insisted on meeting me despite me having to give tuition and go for piano, so I rushed all the way to Bugis to meet her and Sab! Haha. EC and Sab gave Vday letters and presents! And EC gave me my early birthday present cos she's super worried she won't get to see me ~~ever again~~. Camwhored at NYDC before I rushed home! Ahh. Miss you guys loads.... ): I'm still waiting for dear EC to upload the pictures on FB. Haha.

Anyway, HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMANDA XU!! You're so outta YW already... *sobs sobs* but we'll still hang out together soon! I wished you were attending sacrament over at SSC/BTC instead of Pasir Panjang Chapel... But Iheartyou loads!

Better finish writing those letters, so that I can pass em' later! And lectures&tutorials officially starts tomorrow... Bahhhh ): Okay, I'm gonna prepare to go to church now!

Grace, Sab, EC, Jes, Shi Han, Bero, Putt, 4/1 people, choir people, PB people, OLP people... Haha... So happy international week everyone!

And my birthday's exactly a month from now... Ohmy, I'm growing oldddddddd ): Ahhh, I felt like I just turned 16 yesterday... Haha. Okay, I shall put a birthday wishlist here so that you can start saving to get me a present! Haha :P

Orientation starts today, and I'm in Gloria 1! 0901! Haha. I seem to be fated to the numbers 1/5/9! Haha. :P But Gloria rocks! And my class is obviously overwhelmed with girls! Hahahaha. 8boys VS >=19girls! (So KHS 6/1'04 with 10boys and 31girls!) Haha. Shall update more about orientation tomorrow! For now I need take a break and prepare my stuff for my Sentosa trip tomorrow! Haha.

But sadly I'm not wise, it's hard to tuck away the memories that you prize

Sadly, I'm still living in the past, thinking about "what if..."
What if I could turn back the clock?
What if I could have my way and went to CGSS instead of TKGS?
What if I never joined Choir?
What if I never took Econs combi in Sec 3?
Why did I listen to her and drop one subject?
Would I ever end up in this state?
Would I have to fight a losing battle right now?

I DETEST PE. I had to do painful warmups which pulled my diaphragm/abdominal muscles (super painful! how to sing tomorrow??) and run 1.2km(The last time I ran was the last NAPFA test!) And I need to get at least a silver or it wouldn't even be a pass. ):
There's choir after school tomorrow, and it's gonna end only at 8pm, and I've got at least 5hrs worth of free period(in total).
And subject combi's wrongggggggggggggggg (In the H1 H2 sense) ):

Quite a handful of people's birthday tomorrow, so I shall wish you guys in advance (since I'll be too tired to even blog tomorrow when I'm back. Anyway, like what Gloria said, I am currently very happy living in NYJC (With the exception of the MRT/bus fares gobbling the money from my EZlink card! But I extended my JC concession today, so I'm a happy girl! :D). Okay, that was lame. Went to NYJ with Gloria to get our transfer letters before heading to TPJ to get the letters approved and back to NYJ again for the last bits of their talk and intro lectures(Bio/Econs) and actual lecture(Chem). Well, I guess my mind's pretty set on taking BCME since that's the subject combi I need to have to take M/P/P(Go figure). Haha. Was planning to take H1 Econs until I realised that H1 Econs> 1/2 H2 Econs so I need to _________. Again. Ahhhh. I'm always missing by 1point. 1 point. This is getting very upsetting. ): Boo...

(I just realised my post is like, high on one day and low on the other.)
