Hey! This is Jesmine but there are a thousand and one others out there who calls her Jia Min too! She's (finally) 18 and is more than happy to be showered with gifts on the nineth day of the third month each year. She's currently mugging in Nanyang Junior College with a bunch of cute people in 1002, but she still loves and misses her alma mater, TKGS together with her dearest 4e1 very very much. She ditched her 4-years long CCA, netball, for singing - both in choir and as a soloist (Just don't ask her to sing Don't Cry For Me, Argentina. It's Marisa's new ploy to watch a free show! And I know poor Bren's sick of playing it!) She's been stuck in Alto 2 in choir for a good ol' 5 years while her dearest conductor is still deciding whether to leave her there or transfer her somewhere else, but she takes the performing role of a mezzosoprano as a soloist (and communicate her 3-octave range using her perfect pitch to her rocking friends who in turn gives her nicknames of innate objects such as tuning fork, piano and amplifier. :/) Oops, she nearly forgot to mention that she was a part of the Superwomen(Student Welfare) committee of the Prefectorial Board back in the good ol' TKGS days. She's awesomely proud to be an Latter-Day Saint, and savouring her last year as a Laurel before she gets kicked out of YW. She loves her family and friends to bits, and in her (very little) free time, adores chilling out with her friends, attend concerts, shopping (and window shopping too. Money don't fall from the sky, y'know.), singing, tinkling on the piano, blogging, FBing and there's so much more she'll prolly need a thousand pages for her to fill up her "LOVES&HOBBIES" section. Flowers, cute huggable soft toys, helium balloons and (hand-written) letters and notes are some of her favourite things.♥

PS: I can/can't believe you just spent/wasted 5 minutes of your life reading her introductory speech. Btw, she LOVES people who tag on her tagboard, so do make sure you let her know that you were here! Have an awesome day anyway! (:

Wednesday Music Blues

Wednesday 3-5pm blues.
Today was SUCH a i-don't-know-how-to-explain-every-crap-that-happened day. Seriously.
Went to school slightly past two this afternoon and got caught by Marianne and Fiona. Marianne wanted to get me my letter from the AVT (and I was supposed to go to com lab 2, which is also on the 3rd floor), so I dragged myself upstairs.
Got the letter from Marianne who then officially made me read out a part of that letter (there was only Marianne, Fiona and me in there). It was really amusing, and I couldn't really bring myself to read that whole part, and "choking" at some parts. Haha.
Went out after that, saw Lou and Vivien (ah, miss juniors so much!), and 5 of us were chatting outside AVT. Later, Ms Tong passed by so I followed her to the com lab.

MUSIC WRITING PRINTOUT + RECORDING = HILARIOUS + DEJA VU.
How do I feel all of those simultaneously? I've no idea, I just did.
This is INSANE.

PRINTING.
As I was looking through my 4hour "masterpiece" for the very last time (at least that was what I thought), I did some minor editing before sending it for printing.
Printing was absolutely terrible.
I reprinted the 1st page, 3-4 times?
The first time, Leslie passed by and saw the mistake about the word kite. It was supposed to be kites with that insane S. Goodness, how did he see that by just brushing pass me! :/ And I was laughing at my stupid mistake. So she reprinted.
And then there was this mistake in transcreation. I wrote translation. So Travis helped me print this time. And I had no idea there were weird barlines right at the bottom of that crap piece of paper until Travis started looking before I handed in the file. And I was so tempted to scream at him, I promise.
So in the end, for the fourth and final time, I went to save that thing on another thumbdrive and entrusted Kenneth to print it for me as I was so flustered and Jane was SOSing wrt the recording too.
I was quite happy after that until I realised that the stupid kite mistake came back again.
kiteS (placed loads of emphasis on that big S).
Just took a black pen and wrote that S and handed in. Fullstop.

Recording, is another story.
The computer has NO PERFECT PITCH. And it sucks.
I didn't bring my earphone (because I had no idea we needed it.) so I was waiting for Wan Shi to finish borrowing the earphones from Zheng Yuan before getting it from her. So as I was waiting, clicking on random buttons to find out how to record, Kenneth called from the front cauz the recording from his com sucks totally. Sounded like aliens whining from outer space. Yeap, and he used my com to record his composition.
The good thing is that I get to borrow his earphones after that. The bad thing was my composition got jammed halfway through the playing and I was terribly ANNOYED. As there were no other pathatic coms around, I saved mine and transported to Kenneth's computer. The recording, as usual had the stupid alien whinny sound which was mad. And the composition was still jammed at the same spot, and both of us were laughing because it just stopped there for a couple of seconds, so after awhile, Kenneth was like "Maybe you can take out the pause." and then I started playing the recording a couple of bars before. IT WORKED! And I was SO HAPPY BECAUSE I DIDN'T NEED TO START LAUGHING OVER THE COUPLE-OF-SECONDS pause and look like a dumbdumb. :/ Went back to my com, made the necessary changes and went to listen when Jane came and she was like "Let me listen to your composition" and she took one side of the earphone which didn't have the soft cushiony pad. She said my composition was pretty okay, so I went to record it, but I had this weird feeling something wasn't right with the notes. The piece was playing a semitone flat!, but I didn't know how on earth to change it to the perfect pitch so I just recorded as it was. AND the choir's 'ohh'/'ahh' was so disgusting; made my piece sound so artificial (I know it's artificial actually, thankyou) so I'll probably do live recording during the sept hols and make myself a little happier. Yeap.
I guess Jane was really funny today; I was telling her how I couldn't hear her because she was talking to herself and then she asked “Am I talking too loud?” Haha.

Was chased out of com lab 2 after printing and recording as the sec3 OLP students were taking over the territory, thus I had to go up to Beeth. without Jane. Trust me to be so shocked when I open Beeth. realising that there were no girls around, so I put my bag and stuff down before getting out of Beeth. again, to the toilet. This is getting so embarassing. Met Zheng Yuan outside as I was going to the toilet, so she "offered" to wait for me in the toilet (i know she was embarassed to go in too. Haha :D). Both of us then decided to go back to Beeth. together (because it was probably a nightmare going in alone with, 8-10pairs of eyes staring at you?) Haha. Jane came over after she was done, but was yanked out by Ms Ng due to scores trouble, thus it was down to just Zheng Yuan and me in Beeth. Started doing my E Math revision and my bottle toppled over and cap came out, so the water spilled (just a little water left, fortunately.) Borrowed tissue from Zheng Yuan and cleaned up the colourless mess, and threw the tissues outside Beeth., came in and did just a couple more sums before Ms Ng came in to discuss class stuff. And I was tired and probably flushed with fever. Lol.

Deja Vu.

Okay, back to mugging for the Prelims, which sucks big time. I mean, okay, it'll be the most difficult set of papers we'll ever take in our secondary school life, but did you have to make them such a big impact on our lives so that we'll be motivated to study for the Os? Oh well.
And I am feeling terribly unfair. Loads of school end school (for the sec 4s) before October and someone made it so obvious (because someone was complaining about being denied of Children's Day presents since primary school – and it's oh-too-bad for you. Haha.) Ah! And after study break comes that final hurdle.
We all must pull through the second last lap to the finishing line, run to the end of the tunnel where we get to savour the fruits of our labour..
Okay, back to mugging.

Happy Prelim-ings, my fellow sec4lings. Haha :D
xoxo

EL Oral :D

Currently in school and just finished a survey.
Oral yesterday was, quite diao D:
Why did they have to ask that question? ><
Okay, it's not their fault, it's mine for getting overly emotional.
But when they asked that question, all I could think was
